It’s been a while (I was at a journalism program), and I miss-counted the episode in the script. This is actually Mac News Weekly – #81.
Apple had its most successful non-holiday quarter in history. 2.6 million Macs were sold along with 5.2 million iPhones. Profit was up 15% from last year with quarterly revenue at 1.23 billion dollars.
iTunes 8.2.1 was released last week and it killed the ability to sync a Palm Pre. This week, Palm issued an over-the-air update to the Pre, and it fixes the syncing issues. The competition is on!
AppleInsider is reporting that Apple is slated to launch a multi-touch tablet in the first quarter of 2010. It will be similar to an iPod Touch. A separate report indicates that it will be $800.
Apple updated its pro audio and video suites, FinalCut Studio and Logic Studio.
