iTunes 8.1.1 is out. The biggest feature that this update provides is HD Movie Rentals in iTunes. You can download the new iTunes here.

Also this week in iTunes, Apple enabled the three-tiered pricing structure that was promised back at MacWorld. Now, song can cost (US $) .69, .99 or 1.29. The most popular songs will most likely be $1.29. With this, all songs are now DRM free! However, reports are saying that some songs were removed from the catolouge. My guess is that the record company didn’t want it DRM free.

Apple updated it’s family line of Xserves.

Drobo, everyone’s favorite storage robot, has a new big-brother for small-businesses. The DroboPro can hold upto 8 hardrives, all with redunant. Storage, you can also rack-mount it.

Boxee , the best open-source media center for your Mac, has created API’s for developers. Anyone can develop an ‘app’ for Boxee (on homescreen), and there are no limitations.

The AppStore is about to hit one billion downloads! To celebrate, Apple is giving away a load of free stuff to one lucky person. Full details can be found here.

The iPhone may get video-editing (along with a video camera)!
